The End of Bill & Gill – Again

I wasn’t really satisfied with the movie clip I posted last week showing the demise of Smuggler Bill & Exciseman Gill. However I know that however much I do, I will never be satisfied. To prevent procrastination from setting in, I posted it anyway. Now I have made a few improvements (I hope), so here it is again.

As always the software does not necessarily let you do everything you want it to. At least perhaps not the way you want to do it. There is usually a work around and like any project, the secret is to keep it moving and find other ways of doing things that don’t seem to work quite in the way the user (me) thinks they should.

The movie clip was made in iCone 5. I also used PaintShop Pro 5 to work on images and Pinnacle Studio 16 to assemble the shots, add titles, transitions, sound effects and scorefitter to create the music track.

I am really pleased with the chalk cliff now that I have made my material with B2M and also started using height maps.

In the next few posts I will describe some of the lessons I learned while making this clip.
