iClone 6 is Coming

I am receiving quite a number of emails and Facebook notifications from Reallusion offering me a free upgrade to iClone 6 if I buy iClone 5 content now.

The issue is that I tend to only  buy content that has potential to be used in my current project, the making of the Smuggler Bill movie. and that many of the content packages being offered include content which I have already purchased. I don’t want to pay for it twice.

In addition users who purchase iClone 5 now will be able to upgrade to iClone 6 when it becomes available in December.

Of course being an existing iClone user I am more interested in what it will cost me to upgrade to iClone 6.

According to the iClone 6 purchase FAQ at the Reallusion web site, existing premium members will be offered an early bird opportunity to upgrade to iClone 6 at 50% discount, once it is released in December 2014.

iClone 5 to 6

According to information at Reallusion, iClone 6 will incorporate technologies such as Nvidia’s PhysX , SpeedTree, Allegorithmic’s Substance, Indigo RT, Tessellation capabilities and a new PhysX physics engine. A new UI design provides more freedom in customizing workflow, and improves usability.

For my part I will certainly purchase the upgrade, but I won’t be uninstalling iClone 5 until I have observed user experiences with iClone 6 in the Reallusion members forum.

Clicking on the iClone5 vertical banner image to the right of this text will now take you to a Reallusion page from which you can download a free trial version of iClone6 Pro.
